About C. William Dunsay
I joined Better Photo in the early years and then my membership lapsed and I put aside my camera. However I have returned with lots of enthusiasm and a new camera. I am making photographs with a Canon EOS R. I enjoy taking photos of landscapes, flowers, architecture, design elements and off beat subjects that appeal to me. I'm learning the many features of the camera so I can create beautiful images with it. I use Photoshop and Lightroom Classic for editing/refining images. I admit to being a novice with respect to those applications. I also have a GITZO tripod with a really Right Stuff Ball Head. It's pretty heavy to carry around. I'm fortunate to also have a mentor who is a professional photographer who has coached me and done some editing and printing for me. Currently I do not have a photo printer but I'm interested in an Epson Eco Photo printer. I do own an Epson eco printer for usual home printing needs. The cost of ink goes way down with an eco. Although retired from a 42 year elementary education teaching career I am still working. I'm a '65 graduate of SUNY New Paltz, now a university in the New York State higher ed system. I have one daughter and four beautiful grandchildren who occasionally agree to be photographed. Over the years when my wife was alive we owned Newfoundland Dogs, Scottish Terriers and Maine Coon Cats. We moved in 1971 from Manhattan to the Berkshires and I live in the Southwest corner of Massachusetts just over the line from Connecticut. I still consider Manhattan my real home and make visits a few times a year. I'm technically not a 'Local'. I look forward to seeing all your beautiful photos and sharing mine.
